Get ready to fully submerge into the art of cinematography with our full-day Film Production Tour and elevate your skills in creating atmospheric shots. This unique opportunity will help you get involved not only in understanding and communicating your visual ideas but in actually creating the scene with your hands, choosing and setting up the right equipment, adjusting the settings and positioning the props and characters in the shot. This tour is an effective practice for emerging film enthusiasts to create their desired photoshoot, short reel, music video or short film.

The full-day tour is 24 hours long and allows creators to split the day into 2 12-hour windows or a maximum of 3 8-hour windows, making it easy for you to plan and adjust your schedule over several days. Since every project serves different purposes we decided to base this Tour on two separate themes, where You can only pick one:

Commercial Project:

• This is a great option if you are just starting in the film industry, have a keen eye for details and want to produce a stunning shot without creating your own story.
• The main idea of working as a freelance cinematographer is Your ability to transform someone else’s idea into a physical work by actively studying other artists, developing your style and ambition to see things, that others don’t notice.
• One of the aspects you will learn on this Tour is the communication between producer and client – bringing out the needed colours, listening to the story and identifying the deep-rooted intentions of what the client has to say through his work.

Individual Work of Art:

• This is a great option if you are looking to create something of your own – from the plot to the specifics of the edit.
• The modern cinematographer has to fulfil multiple roles on the scene – not only choosing between 45 or 365-degree angle – but also crafting the mise-en-scene: what will be seen in the shot, how the characters look and interact with each other, how the light brings out the contrast of emotions and meaning.
• Last, but not least knowledge you will gain is that of storytelling – how to tell a story and alter the desired emotion in the audience: choosing between cold and warm light, adding symbolic meaning to props used in the scene and playing with edit in post-production to give continuity to the whole story.
